At Seashore Design Studio, our goal is to offer quality handcrafted silver jewelry that is built to last, at prices that are accessible regardless of budget. We work tirelessly to ensure that our pieces are smooth, strong and safe, as well as stylish. Modular jewelry and caregiver jewelry styles are our specialty.
Designer and maker Ilana has been making and selling jewelry since 2007, and began selling on Etsy and at local area craft fairs. Her goal is to provide artisan made, heirloom quality jewelry while offering the personal touch you expect at a local event. No two pieces are alike, and at Seashore Design Studio, the experience is as important as the finished piece.
Meet the designer
Seashore Design Studio is the next step in a lifelong journey. Designer Ilana (she/her) has been crafting since she was a child, and began seriously making jewelry and selling online and at craft fairs as a college student, founding her own small design business. In the years since, she maintained that business, creating hundreds of custom pieces and shipping to nearly 30 countries as well as working as a production assistant for a jewelry design company that is stocked in stores and boutiques worldwide.
With the birth of her daughter in 2014, Ilana’s schedule and availability changed and her focus shifted. In the fall of 2015 she founded Seashore Design Studio and began creating heirloom quality fine silver and sterling silver jewelry with a focus on flexibility and customization.
Ilana has sold at local craft fairs as well as organized the craft marketplace for Long Island events, and was the founder and administrator of the Handmade Long Island website. In addition to jewelry design, she is a graphic designer and writer, providing design and content services for small businesses.
Now a mother of two and living amidst farmland nestled in the foothills of the Taconic mountains, Ilana continues to offer creative custom jewelry at accessible prices.
In addition to Seashore Design Studio's presence on Etsy, Ilana also maintains additional shops. She has been a seller on Etsy since 2007 and is an avid fan of the platform.

At Seashore Design Studio, the focus is on creative expression and durability. Each piece is handcrafted using quality materials, cut and shaped, processed and finished individually to create final items that are smooth and strong, in styles that are both timeless and long wearing.
Working primarily in silver, Ilana utilizes both fine silver and sterling silver, choosing the medium that best fits the needs of each piece. Copper and gold fill are used at times when the warm pop of a mixed metal is desired.
It all starts quite humbly, with spools or wire or flat sheets of metal that are processed through shaping, texturing, fusing or soldering, and polishing. Seashore Design Studio chains utilize manufactured links, with styles and sizes thoughtfully chosen for their strength and durability. Ultra-fine and open links are not things that will be found here. Our jewelry is cleaned and finished using natural methods, ensuring no chemical residue is left.

Custom orders are welcome! At Seashore Design Studio, you are an active participant in the custom order process. You’ll have an initial discussion with the designer about what you’re looking for, and you will remain involved throughout the process, until your custom order has been completed to your satisfaction.
Seashore Design Studio offers individual sterling silver double clasp chains, sold separately from pendants, charms, and centerpieces. This allows the wearer to choose the perfect length and style chain to pair with one special centerpiece, or to build a collection that allows for endless mix and match fun.
